Rockridge Health Benefits is led by Jonathan Greer, an experienced health benefits broker who provides employers with unmatched client service, attention to detail, and clear communication to help them make the best and most cost-effective decisions. Jon’s responsibilities include field sales and field underwriting as well as 5-star client services. Jonathan provides his expertise, compassion and thoughtfulness to companies and their employees as well as families and individuals

Based in the Bay Area, Jonathan is licensed to sell employee benefits policies, workers comp and individual health policies throughout California (CA Lic. 0I97704). He is appointed to represent all of California’s major health insurers, including Blue Shield of California, Anthem Blue Cross, Health Net, Kaiser Permanente, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Delta Dental and VSP. He also represents many A-rated workers comp carriers including Employers, Atlas and AmTrust.

Prior to founding Rockridge Health Benefits, Jonathan was in the financial services sector, where he provided marketing and communications services to clients including venture capitalists, investment banks, startups and multinational corporations. He began his career in the newspaper industry as a reporter for the San Francisco Chronicle and the San Jose Mercury News.

Jonathan brings his experience making payroll and manage small businesses to his work as a benefits adviser. During his tenure as Executive Director of Hamilton Family Center, a homeless shelter program in San Francisco, he helped build it into a $500,000 nonprofit in less than two years. In his role with Hamilton, Jonathan instituted an employee benefits program, created an employee handbook, and had more than a half-dozen direct reports.

In his personal life, Jonathan lives in the East Bay and is the father of two grown daughters. He recently spent 2 1/2 years studying neuropsychology at NLP Marin and received Masters certification. His interests include modern art, history and music, tennis, pickleball (try it you'll like it!), and all manner of sportsball.
